Hit in foot by carriage by another person

I was in the andover store and im on disability. My foot was already hurt and the lady ran over my foot denied it. Then started to swear at me insult me. Threat me. I asked for manager he said just check out. The lady came up to me again and insulted me. I had had a head injury too. I called got transfered to VM. At costumer service complain number. Not very happy and might have to call my doctor as my foot is throbbing Paul

Why does Market Basket require that a customer bring a coupon back within 24 hrs when not used/ on hand at time of purchase? I live in Framingham and the representative wants a return visit within 24 hrs?

I can't believe the huge spike in prices that you have now. No one will be able to afford to eat. Come on now a stinking head of lettuce was $2.00 the other day. Every single item you sell has jumped up at least 25 cents to 50 cents. You are really making a huge profit off us less fortunate people. You used to be cheaper than Wal-Mart but not now so looks like all my business will be done at Wal-Mart. Many others I know are going to be switching to other stores.

Market basket never contacted me regarding this issue.

I shop at Market Basket on Lowell Avenue, Haverhill, MA. I usually go every other day to get the freshest product and prevent spoilage.

I went to this store on June 20, bought several items and 3 4 packs of Center Cut Pork Chops. Furthermore, I put 2 packages in the freezer and left 1 in the refrigerator, so I could marinate them today, June 21. Before I opened them, I noticed they were all brown. I went back to the store to return them, the Customer Service Rep asked if I had the receipt, (who saves receipts), then she said I should have put them in the freezer and took them out today to defrost and then cook them, (the sell date was June 22).

She refused to refund my money, said they don't give store credits and I would need to shop now and buy something for around the same dollar amount as an exchange. I didn't have time to shop at that moment. I took back the item and threw it in the trash. I will never shop at ANY Market Basket again, will go to Shaw's in Plaistow, NH.

In addition, I own a Sober House and have 12 residents who each get $198/month in Food Stamps, ($2,369/month in loss sales), more since the Pandemic. I take them to Market Basket once a month, so they may shop and use their Food Stamps. Not ANYMORE, we will go to Shaw's, ALDI, Walmart, etc. Never again will I take them to a Market Basket or do any of my personal shopping at Market Basket.

The Witch who waited on me should be reprimanded or fired. She is a very unhappy, miserable person.

FWI on Overcooked Pizzas

Got two take-out pizzas from the Plymouth NH MB on Saturday Sept. 18, 2021 and both were definitely overcooked. They were good but the crust was mostly charred and uneatable. Hopefully next time the oven is turned down or the cook time is shortened.

Service Complaint

I went into your store on D.W. Highway between 5-6pm today and selected Cabasa applesauce and steak tips.

I planned on paying with my ebt card. My ebt card is defective. The swipe strip is messed up. Old.

And i have made an appointment to get a new ebt card but because of covid they arent allowing people to come in without an appointment. Not to mention they are only seeing people 65 or older.

And in order to get my new ebt card i made an appointment which is 3 months out. I was told i could enter the card number manually at any place that accepts EBT/SNAP or has a Quest logo by the ebt/snap office. Not to mention the GOVERNMENT website mass.gov/snap under the tab "who can use my ebt card".

It states that anyone in my household with or without physical card "AS LONG AS THEY CAN ENTER THE ACCOUNT INFORMATION AND HAVE SECURITY PIN #" then they to can use the account. And the ebt/snap benefits id card doesnt have my name or picture on it just an account #. And the manager at your store denied me service asking me grilling questions as if i was a liar and or thief scamming or stealing money off a random account because i didnt have the card in my hand. And asked me if my name was on it with a smile on his face/smirk.

And i answered idk. He then prodeeded to to say then how can we verify its your card? And i am complaining because the ebt snap website states otherwise. In fact the picture on the card where my face or pic would be place has a red check mark over a grey box.

And says in BIG RED LETTERS --VALID WITHOUT PHOTO-- so what was he gonna verify. And are you telling me that every single time a person comes through a line in your store a d use their debit or credit card that every cashier checks your STATE IDENTIFICATION just to make sure it matches your license and name?? Because i have been through your lines at checkout and in 25 years have never been carded for anything other than alcohol and cigarettes. Never in 25 years has anyone ever checked my licence to verify i am the person using my debit/credit card.

And my girlfriend offered me her ebt card and guess what it hasnt got a name on it. The number is 75% faded and only works when using a plastic bag over the magnetic strip. And always ends up manually entering the # and like her have done this at your store everytime ive shopped their for the past 2 years! And the girl has me enter my card # then asks me the last 4 digits.

I dont know if because i entered the card # without looking at the card but im excellent with math in my head quick and can remember long #s like it's no big deal. Not to mention after 2 years of doing this everytime i use the card u start to remember it. And i dont have to explain myself to you other than your manager at that store was a pompus *** and embarrassed me to know end infront of a lot of people bc he wanted to erragant and right! He obviously didnt know the law or rules behind the card or situation.

Which if he really didnt know this he easily could have said maturely u know im not positive how that works with ebt why dont i check with another manager and get the details and facts about the situation instead of just assuming he knew better and i was a thief or *** low life who steals ebt card money! My schedule is so tight between work and taking care of my grandmother btw which is whose card information i was gonna use and had already entered bc she cant get to a store. And not only did this guy screw up my schedule but caused there to be no dinner for my grandmother. We were both broke and relying on that ebt $.

And having to get to my next thing picking up her medicine before they closed the pharmacy. And did that happen? No because i needed to try to figure out how to prove i was who i say whether i had to use her account or mine DOESNT MATTER! So no medicine and its gonna be a real rough night.

No food other than condiments and koo-laid until tomorrow when i get paid and can even get some gas to get back to trying to freaking eat! Idk what is gonna be done but that man has caused me more trouble and hunger in the past hours than i can really put into words! Not to mention the embarrassment! Wow idk what can be done but something needs to be done about this person.

And maybe everyone needs to hear about your store and customer service. Maybe i can contact someone in the ebt office tomorrow and see what they can do. Im so frustrated with this i may even spend all night trying to understand how someone with all account information pin # a d offering to show u the account on his android with my name which u can only log into with a social security # and dob. I offered that and he smiked laughed rolled his cuff and started again telling me how if i were to use someone else credit card and i stopped him there.

ITS NOT A CREDIT CARD AND ANYONE CAN USE IT WITH SAID ACCOUNT INFO & PIN. Whether the physical card is present or not! I have an android app which allows me to use nfc from my phone to swipe any card i want with or with out a chip.

So if i would have had my phone on me and used my phone by touching the terminal to pay with my phone would they have asked me for identification??? NO.

Something doesn’t add up. You start off saying YOUR ebt card, then it changes later to your grandmother’s ebt card.

Neither which you seem to have. And I looked up rules for using the card in New Hampshire. It clearly states two scenarios. 1.

Recipient swipes the card and enters pin when prompted. 2.

Recipient hands card to cashier and enters pin when prompted. The card always has to be present and if it does not swipe only the cashier can enter the account number.

Well I had gone there for my grandmother and forgot her card. And she lives 40 min away from where I was.

And so I used my account but my card the mag strip is defective and the ebt snap office told me since I had just been awarded my monthly money that I should use the money 1st bc they couldn't give me an appointment unless I was 65vor older cos of covid. So it would be 2-3 weeks b4 I received it in the mail. And was advised to wait till my balance was gone and anywhere that accepts ebt snap has the capability to manually enter my card #. Which is what I have done at the same store and other mgrs have given the OK to do so.

And they gave it bc ubcant manually enter the number in a regular register line there for everytime i have gone to the service desk to do so. And I have a Massachusetts ebt/snap card and the website at mass.gov explains anyone in a house hold can use my account as long as they have the # to manually enter & PIN #. And when i offered to get my phone from the car and show him the ebt app with my account # and he can see the # I entered in the pay terminal or on the service desk computer where the transaction was being made. And he aid is ur name on the card.

And I said Idk. Couldn't remember it being there and got home and looked at the old card i was given when I 1st got an ebt card and it has no picture or name.. just a # but it was the one that wasn't active cos they sent me one with my name on it.. but was defective wouldnt work anywhere..

and this was when covid 1st got out of control and they started masks and closing *** And since then haven't been able to get to the office to get a new one and when I called they told me to manually enter the # until my account was emptied and then order a new one and wait th the 2-3 weeks for it to get to me. And that way I'd have grocery money through that small period of time. And idk or care what the ebt rules & regulations are compared to Mass. There is no way they are completely diff.

And the mass.gov states this exactly. "Even though your EBT card may have your photo on it, other household members who are receiving benefits as part of your case can use the card as long as they know your PIN." https://www.mass.gov/guides/using-your-ebt-card#-understand-who-can-use-your-card- And the guy told me my showing my account information with the same # I entered in their system wasn't good enough to verify. He needed my card with my picture and my name on it. And he doesn't know my name nor have I ever been asked to verify the use of an ebt card or credit or debit at that store in 25 years.

And asking questions like I was incompetent and a scamming thief low life trying to get over on market basket and ebt to purchase cabasa and apple sauce. That's it. I mean really. And then ur gonna post a reply like I've done something incorrect and should be more aware of the laws and rules behind the cards use?!

Do u need me to find more information stating anyone can use my card in my house hold whether I'm there or not which is why it says VALID WITH OUT PHOTO! And why a temporary card without my name on it is just as useful as a one with but also active and acceptable. So why this guy told me i would need to show verification such as a state ID with name and picture to prove my identity on a card that has been made usable by even a 13 old kid that their mother said here go get a candy bar. Or maybe ubqant me to find some information about not opening ur mouth with a comment based upon a situation they weren't part of nor know all the facts and details to.

Like A.) I have a Massachusetts ebt card. And when searching for grocery stores in my zip code which accepts ebt residents of Massachusetts. It will tell u any state issued ebt card can be used in any state.

But maybe they should repost that page and rewrite it as can be used in any state as long as they know all the account info have a passport and social security card + state ID with picture right? And maybe they should be asking for state identification for every debit/credit transaction to verify the person holding the phone close to the pay terminal is actually a resident and lives in the same house hold as the persons listed on the card and must have a written letter giving permission to use the card and must be notarized and kissed by Elvis.

You keep going on about being grilled about no name on card, state id, etc. you did not have any card physically there with you!

Go get any card, yours, your girlfriend’s or your grandmother’s.

If it doesn’t scan, you are required to hand it to the cashier, they will manually enter number, then you will enter pin. You just need to bring the physical card with you.

Unprofessional workers

I was in the Littleton market basket doing my shopping like I do every week . As I was walking past the kitchen there was a girl throwing things across it and slamming drawers and yelling and being very unprofessional. This is not the first time this employee has been this way when I have been in there.

Small Market Basket in Seabrook has some rude employees and customers

I accidentally went down the wrong aisle. I forgot to check the arrows.

I usually am good with this. I was focusing on the pet aisle. At this particular time a disgruntled women came down the aisle shouting at me that I was going the wrong way. She let me know in a very rude and loud voice that I should pay attention to the arrows.

It was embarrassing. I apologized. Then a tall, male, older Market Basket worker agreed with her. He was walking right behind her and he told me to watch the arrows as well.

It was humiliating to have to apologize to two people who seemed more like bullies. I decided to turn around and go the right way.

When I got out of the aisle that rude lady was discussing how they were right to tell me off.

Seriously, I would never want to make someone feel so low for such a small thing. People need to be kinder.
